“TAVA” EM PARAIBUNA, LUCIMARA MOURA, UMA ANÁLISE SOCIOLINGUÍSTICA, VARIACIONISTA DA FALA POPULAR DO INTERIOR DO ESTADO SÃO PAULO

A Revista Acadêmica Online, com prazer, introduz o estudo intitulado ““TAVA” EM PARAIBUNA, LUCIMARA MOURA, UMA ANÁLISE SOCIOLINGUÍSTICA, VARIACIONISTA DA FALA POPULAR DO INTERIOR DO ESTADO SÃO PAULO" de lavratura do pesquisador: Ricardo Santos David.

O estudo realizado por Lucimara da Silva Moura, sob a orientação da Professora Ilka Rezende, teve como objetivo analisar a sociolinguística variacionista na região de Paraibuna, interior de São Paulo. Paraibuna é uma localidade onde a língua portuguesa se manifesta de forma única, refletindo sua cultura e história.  O presente artigo, concentra-se na investigação do uso da frase emblemática “Tava em Paraibuna” e sua variação linguística. Através da sociolinguística variacionista, o estudo lança luz sobre a linguagem e a cultura de Paraibuna, examinando como fatores sociais, culturais e históricos influenciam o uso da língua nessa comunidade. A análise revela que a substituição do presente pelo pretérito imperfeito do indicativo, como evidenciado na forma “tava”, é uma característica típica do dialeto caipira encontrado na região. Essa mudança na conjugação verbal reflete uma ênfase na continuidade ou permanência da ação, indicando a importância de considerar o contexto sociolinguístico ao analisar fenômenos linguísticos variáveis. O estudo demonstra como a língua portuguesa é dinâmica e adaptável, moldada por influências socioculturais, e ressalta a tendência de mudança linguística em curso em Paraibuna e regiões semelhantes do interior de São Paulo.

ABSTRACT

The study conducted by Lucimara da Silva Moura, under the guidance of Professor Ilka Rezende, aimed to analyze variational sociolinguistics in the region of Paraibuna, located in the interior of São Paulo. Paraibuna is a locality where the Portuguese language manifests itself uniquely, reflecting its culture and history. This article focuses on investigating the use of the emblematic phrase "Tava em Paraibuna" and its linguistic variation. Through variational sociolinguistics, the study sheds light on the language and culture of Paraibuna, examining how social, cultural, and historical factors influence language use in this community. The analysis reveals that the substitution of the present tense with the imperfect past tense, as evidenced in the form "tava," is a typical characteristic of the caipira dialect found in the region. This change in verb conjugation reflects an emphasis on the continuity or permanence of the action, highlighting the importance of considering the sociolinguistic context when analyzing variable linguistic phenomena. The study demonstrates how the Portuguese language is dynamic and adaptable, shaped by sociocultural influences, and emphasizes the ongoing linguistic change trend in Paraibuna and similar regions in the interior of São Paulo.
