PRÁTICA BASEADA EM EVIDÊNCIAS NO TRATAMENTO DA VERTIGEM POSICIONAL PAROXISTICA BENIGNA
A Revista Acadêmica Online, com prazer, introduz o estudo intitulado “PRÁTICA BASEADA EM EVIDÊNCIAS NO TRATAMENTO DA VERTIGEM POSICIONAL PAROXISTICA BENIGNA" de lavratura da pesquisadora: Aila Vitoria Silva dos Santos.
Descrever e analisar as terapêuticas utilizadas para o tratamento da vertigem posicional paroxística benigna (VPPB) em ensaios clínicos aleatórios. Método: Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática da literatura, com base no Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses. A busca foi realizada nas bases de dados PubMed, PEDro e BVS, por meios dos seguintes descritores: “Vertigem posicional paroxística benigna”, “Fisioterapia”, “Tratamento” e “reabilitação vestibular” – em espanhol, inglês e português, com o recorte temporal definido entre os anos de 2017 e 2022. Foram incluídos artigos com amostras de indivíduos diagnosticados com VPPB em qualquer condição clínica assistidos por terapêuticas dispostas em ensaios clínicos aleatórios e foram excluídos artigos com outras metodologias. Resultados: Os 8 artigos incluídos revelam homogeneidade nos protocolos de tratamento em canalitíase horizontal e posterior com a manobra de Epley. O tempo de aplicação, acompanhamento e objetivos dos artigos se divergiram, avaliando os resultados na qualidade de vida e autopercepção das amostras. Em grande maioria foram estudos comparativos com outras terapêuticas. Conclusão: Não foi possível avaliar todas as vertentes da VPPB pela escassez de estudos que comparem sistematicamente outros protocolos, porem foram observadas alterações positivas na canalitíase horizontal e posterior com a Manobra de Epley (EM), porém não é viável a mesma afirmativa para a cupulolitíase, VPPB subjetiva e de multicanais.

ABSTRACT
Objective: To describe and analyze the therapies used for the treatment of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) in randomized clinical trials. Method: A systematic review of the literature was carried out, based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses. The search was carried out in the PubMed, PEDro and BVS databases, using the following descriptors: “Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo”, “Physiotherapy”, “Treatment” and “vestibular rehabilitation” – in Spanish, English and Portuguese, with the clipping temporal defined between the years 2017 and 2022. Articles with samples of individuals diagnosed with BPPV in any clinical condition assisted by therapies arranged in randomized clinical trials were included and articles with other methodologies were excluded. Results: The 8 articles included reveal homogeneity in the treatment protocols for horizontal and posterior canalithiasis with the Epley maneuver. The time of application, follow-up and objectives of the articles differed, evaluating the results in the quality of life and self-perception of the samples. The vast majority were comparative studies with other therapies. Conclusion: It was not possible to evaluate all aspects of BPPV due to the lack of studies that systematically compare other protocols, but positive changes were observed in horizontal and posterior canalithiasis with the Epley Maneuver (EM), but the same statement is not feasible for cupulolithiasis , subjective and multichannel BPPV.
