CARACTERIZAÇÃO DAS ESPÉCIES ARBÓREAS EM BAIRROS DA CIDADE DE POMBAL- PB

A Revista Acadêmica Online, com prazer, introduz o estudo intitulado “CARACTERIZAÇÃO DAS ESPÉCIES ARBÓREAS EM BAIRROS DA CIDADE DE POMBAL- PB" de lavratura das pesquisadoras: Emilly Oliveira Machado, Sandriel de Freitas Barbosa da Silva, Italo José Dias Soares, Bruno José Silva de Medeiros, João Filipe Alves de Sousa.

As árvores desempenham um papel fundamental no alívio das temperaturas globais, na redução das emissões de CO2 e na promoção de ambientes mais sustentáveis, com inúmeros benefícios para o meio ambiente e a sociedade. Investir na conservação e no plantio de árvores é essencial para enfrentar as mudanças climáticas e promover um futuro mais equilibrado. Foi realizado um processo de coleta de espécies arbóreas nos bairros Francisco Paulino e Francisco Pereira Vieira na cidade de Pombal-PB, como parte da preparação para um plano de arborização futuro. O estudo envolveu a identificação e documentação das espécies de árvores já presentes, obtendo um total de 307 exemplares e 30 variedade das espécies. Durante a coleta, foram identificadas espécies que demonstraram adaptação ao clima semiárido e às condições de solo raso da região. Este levantamento de espécies existentes servirá como base fundamental para o desenvolvimento de um plano de arborização eficaz, permitindo a seleção de árvores adequadas que contribuirão para a resiliência ambiental, qualidade do ar e beleza estética da cidade.

ABSTRACT 

Trees play a fundamental role in alleviating global temperatures, reducing CO2 emissions and promoting more sustainable environments, with numerous benefits for the environment and society. Investing in conservation and tree planting is essential to tackle climate change and promote a more balanced future. A process of collecting tree species was carried out in the Francisco Paulino and Francisco Pereira Vieira neighborhoods in the city of Pombal-PB, as part of the preparation for a future afforestation plan. The study involved the identification and documentation of tree species already present, obtaining a total of 307 specimens and 30 species varieties. During collection, species were identified that demonstrated adaptation to the semi-arid climate and shallow soil conditions of the region. This survey of existing species will serve as a fundamental basis for the development of an effective afforestation plan, allowing the selection of suitable trees that will contribute to the environmental resilience, air quality and aesthetic beauty of the city.
