A Revista Acadêmica Online, com prazer, introduz o estudo monográfico intitulado “A GEOGRAFIA E AS INSTITUIÇÕES MILITARES: A FUNÇÃO DAS ESCOLAS MILITARES NA PRODUÇÃO E DIFUSÃO DO CONHECIMENTO GEOGRÁFICO"  de lavratura dos pesquisadores:  Marco Túlio Martins, Laís Naiara Gonçalves dos Reis.

Resumo

Este trabalho tem como objetivo geral mostrar como historicamente as instituições militares, sobretudo a partir do século XIX, produziram um conhecimento eminentemente geográfico que seria utilizado pelo Estado com a finalidade de consolidar seus projetos territoriais. Assim, será demonstrado basicamente como ocorreram as transformações dos currículos das escolas militares e o quanto essas transformações estavam em acordo com as transformações ocorridas no Brasil no século XIX.

Abstract

This work has as main objective to show how historically the military institutions, especially from the nineteenth century produced an eminently geographic knowledge that would be used by the State in order to consolidate their territorial projects. So basically it will be demonstrated how the changes occurred curricula of military schools and how these changes were in line with the changes occurred in Brazil in the nineteenth century.
